Larissa Liska currently serves as the WLTZ Sports Anchor/MMJ at beautiful Columbus, Georgia, deep in SEC territory. In Georgia, it's all about sharing stories of the local teams and athletes and covering all the action for Auburn, Alabama and Georgia college sports. Larissa previously worked at WBKB as a Sports Director in Alpena and at KSAT 12 in San Antonio as a Sports Producer for two years where she created stories for local sports, the Spurs and more. Reporting closer to home in Texas is Larissa's dream.

Larissa earned her Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, which is where she obtained a certificate with UT's first 3D Production program and volunteered at Texas Student Television in the sports department. Off campus, Larissa spent her time as an intern at KUT Radio and FOX 7 Sports Austin.  She also competed for the UT Racquetball Club, and is a 3-time National Collegiate Racquetball competitor.

In college, she traveled to Leeds, England on a Maymester study abroad trip and studied Sport in English Society where she attended a rugby and cricket match, toured the Manchester United soccer stadium and Lord's Cricket Grounds in London, England and cycled on the Manchester Velodrome track.  In England, she researched a lot about their class system and culture, as well as how sports affects their every day lives.

She also explored Queensland, Australia in May 2014 to report on the environment.  Larissa's focus was on the Life of Coral at the Great Barrier Reef. The story can be found on her Australia Blog.
